Renovations, Day 5

Well, yesterday was day 5 of the renovations (yes, I know I didn't post anything from day 4) and things seem to be relatively on schedule. The past few days we have been patching, sanding, priming, painting, and waiting for drywall mud to dry.

Our bedroom upstairs is completely painted, so all it needs is carpet. Half of the upstairs hall is painted, and the other two bedrooms are primed. The living room is completely primed too - trim and all. Our goal this weekend is to finish painting the upstairs, most of the downstairs, and begin laying the hardwood on the first floor (either this weekend or early next week). We were really worried about the floor in the kitchen and dining room not being level, but yesterday we found out that it is actually dead level, it just has a few uneven spots here and there that need to be evened out. That means we probably won't have to deal with messy floor-leveling compound, which is such a relief.

Well, I'm off to paint some more...
